Celebrating the Spring Festival at Long Beach five star luxury hotel in Mauritius is all about festivities and regeneration.
The present Chinese New Year marks the beginning of the Year of the Goat. To uphold the numerous ancestral traditions and in honour of our Chinese guests, our teams came up with an outstanding programme which recreated such a typical festive atmosphere in this Mauritian luxury resort. For Mauritians of Chinese origin and for all Chinese people in the world, the Spring Festival brings about moments of relaxation, joy and happiness with family and friends.
As of Wednesday night, all the guests of Long Beach 5-star luxury hotel were invited to a Dim Sum cooking demonstration followed by a tasting session. A special dinner was organized by the Chinese restaurant Chopsticks for the Chinese clientele of this five-star resort. The dinner on the eve of the lunar New Year is of great importance. Our chef and his team prepared Chinese specialities such as crescent moon-shaped Jiaozi dumplings, noodles, glutinous rice Niangao cakes and Tangyuan, stuffed glutinous rice balls. In China, noodles symbolize longevity and Niangao means a higher standard of living year by year.
Parlour games at Bombora Bar and a “Golden Night” show were also scheduled on that night.
Hard to think of celebrations without a lavish buffet ! The Chinese guests staying at the Long Beach Mauritian hotel started their day with a special breakfast at Chopsticks followed by a range of activities including parlour games, Tai Chi lessons, Chinese cookery demonstrations, culminating with the delightful Chinese buffet dinner at the Chinese restaurant Chopsticks, relaxing at Bombora and in a dedicated corner in the main restaurant Le Marché. The theme of the night was of course the Chinese New Year. The piazza was also decorated with Chinese ornaments in a red setting… !
A fireworks show on the beach and the traditional Lion Dance highlighted this Chinese New Year !
The guest of the Mauritian 5 star luxury hotel Long Beach will certainly remember this Chinese New Year 2015 in their favourite five-star resort.
