At Long Beach, everything has been thought through in order to preserve the environment. Thanks to the use of new technologies and a genuine mastery of energy consumption, Long Beach is also a “green lung” with its luxurious gardens made of thousands of tropical plants.
Encased within Group Sun Resorts’ environmental policy, rewarded and certified for its commitment to sustainable development, Long Beach continues to innovate in the field of marine and terrestrial ecosystems protection. Mastery of energy use is acquired through various techniques such as warm and cold fluid pipe insulation, the practice of modern techniques for room construction and the other premises in this luxury hotel in Mauritius. The roof is covered with plants, pebbles and special corals in order to reduce the use of air conditioning, and upright rooms (3.25m) maximize air circulation. This system is coupled with a sensory control with presence detection in the rooms and common areas. New energies are also highlighted through new capacitors and a 700sqm area equipped with solar panels.
At Long Beach, you will immediately notice the impressive number of trees and plants that adorn the magnificent gardens. During its construction, a gigantic garden centre was set up next to the hotel to preserve and maintain the garden development. The landscape design was entrusted to the respected Bensley Design Studio, who managed to create a green ecosystem which the hotel premises co-exist within. Through a genuine natural water-course, you will discover the restaurants, the numerous sport premises or the Sea Spa. The plants and turf species have been especially selected for their adaptation to Mauritius climate. The gardens are made of more than 500,000 plants perfectly harmonised in a landscape design both modern and typical of Mauritius at Long Beach.
It is a pleasure to idle peacefully in this authentic and beautifully maintained haven of peace !
