The celebrity cast of the Amazing Race China chose Long Beach Resort, Mauritius for episode 8 of season 2, airing on 28 August 2015 on Shen Zhen TV.
The Amazing Race China, a reality TV show based on the well-known American show The Amazing Race, is one of the most watched shows in Asia. The first season reached an audience of no less than 30 million viewers.
Season 2 of The Amazing Race China started on the 10th of July 2015 with 7 pairs of celebrity contestants who are gradually eliminated as they race around the world.
It is in Mauritius, at the Long Beach Resort, that The Amazing Race China crew decided to shoot Episode 8, set to air on Friday 28 August 2015 at 21:10 (China time) on Shen Zhen TV.
Miriam Yeung is a famous singer and actress from Hong Kong. Her partner in The Amazing Race China competition is non other than her husband, Real Ting.
Orfila Wu (WU Xin) is a TV show host, singer, and actress.
HAN Geng is a Mandopop singer and actor who used to be the lead singer of Super Junior, a Korean Mandopop group. His is now one of the most popular male singers in China.
Together, WANG Taili and XIAO Yang form the duo “Chopsticks Brothers”. In 2014, they won the International Song Award" at the American Music Awards.
The competition took place on the 1.3km of white sandy beach after which the Mauritian resort was named.
Long Beach was excited to host the Amazing Race China ! The resort even appointed Lassad, one of its most energetic staff members, to act as a judge for the Mauritius episode. Equipped with a whistle, Lassad sure was incorruptible !
It also happened to be birthday of Miriam Yeung’s husband, Real Ting ! The entire crew celebrated at the Long Beach Resort’s Bombora Nightclub.
The Amazing Race China crew chose the Long Beach resort not only for its fantastic beaches but also for its contemporary architecture, its modern and trendy rooms, its five restaurants and its unique pools and activities.
