Mauritian hotel Long Beach is well known for its famous cocktails. With its two bars offering a sensational view, people tend to flock in during the prime time. For our barmen, this is the time to show their creativity to guests when it comes to exotic cocktails.
Coming from around the world, guests come to five star luxury hotel Long Beach for long-lasting and memorable experiences. From the accommodation to the food and the different activities they choose to do at the resort ; these will eventually determine the journey of the guests.
Previously known as a barman, the term has now changed to become a “mixologist”. Having joined Sun Resorts in 1995 at Le Touessrok five star luxury hotel as a trainee, and then moved to Coco Beach (actual Long Beach) in 1996, Vinesh has always served every single guest with a smile. During his young days, Vinesh became enamored with bartending. He was literally looking up things like different glasses used for making of drinks. Very rapidly, he became highly interested in the possibilities presented by unusual spirits, classic mixes and new flavour profiles.
Vinesh was born in Ernest Florent, Beau Champ and grew up in Bel Air Rivière Sèche. While he was doing his training course in the late 90’s, he dedicated the majority of his time banging out drinks, tasting and most importantly learning. At the beginning of his career, he really wanted to understand and master the relationships between sweet, sour and bitter. Every day, the moment he resumes work, one of his principle is to check if everything is as per the norms set. As per his colleagues who work with him, he is someone who got a lot of principles at work and he does inculcate it or even share it with others. He possesses a lot in terms of knowhow and he is, according to Niketh and Seetul, someone whom they adore to work with.
Personally, his aim is to leave all his guests feeling both at home and constantly engaged. Being a mixologist and doing his job with passion, he got a huge appreciation for bright, light and fruity flavours without forgetting the use of egregious amount of bitters, bold whiskies and savory whiskies.
Being very famous for the drinks he offers, he shares one of his signature cocktails at five star luxury hotel Long Beach : the “Curry Leaves Mojito”.
Amongst the other cocktails he created are the “Red Hibiscus”, “Blue-Sky” and “Going Green”. His objective is to become an F&B Manager within 10 years’ time and he is willing to go beyond limit by showing his grit and determination to achieve it.
